Puppeteering on LazyTown

From 2004 to 2013 I puppeteered the Character “Pixel” on the international Childrens show “LazyTown”.

I also worked as a puppet producer on the show and was involved in setting up the puppet department on the first season of the show.

The show LazyTown shot in Reykjavik Iceland from 2003 to 2013. It was broadcast in 53 countries and the first two seasons were aired Nickelodeon Jr. in the United States.

The show was designed to promote health and fitness.

The puppets were created by Neil Scanlan and his shop in the UK and were made of foam latex over a fiberglass skull which housed the mechanics for the eyelid mechanism.During the first few seasons I was also the puppet producer coordinating the puppet department with production. The show featured live human actors, stunts, acrobatics, dancing, a digital background as well as larger than life sets, vehicles, specialized props and of course, puppets.
